Elijah Wilcutt, son of Charles and Mary Wilcutt, was born near Gosport, Iowa, July 31,1859,and passed away at Iowa City Saturday, Sept.13,1930,aged 71 years,1 month,and 13 days.

Deceased was united in marriage to Belle Friermood at Knoxville,Dec.24,1881,who preceeded him in death August 29, 1905. To this union were born four children: Mrs. Ada Simmonds, Sedro Woolley, Wash.; Charles F. Wilcutt, Knoxville, Forest Wilcutt, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Loucygne Woodcock who died at Sequissa, Wash,; Jan. 26 1925.

He also leaves to mourn his loss two sisters, Mrs. Arminta Pope and Cal Wilson of Knoxville and two brothers William Wilcutt of Joplin, Mo., also four grandchildren Ruth and Beatrice Simmonds of Sedro Woolley, Wash. and Otis and Forest Wilcutt of Knoxville.

He spent most of his life in or near Knoxville and will be greatly missed by his family.

Funeral services were held at Roberts and Evans funeral home, Monday, Sept, 15. at 1 p.m.
The Rev. Tague of Bussey had charge of the services. Interments in Graceland Cemetery.
