Kernersville-Beulah Smith Lemar, 93, went home to be with her Lord September 29, 2013.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Wednesday October 2, 2013 at Kerwin Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Hawtree and Dr. Joe Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery.
A native of Guilford County, Beulah was the daughter of the late Cordie Emeline Hedgecock and Elmer Leland Smith. She had worked at the former Adams-Millis Hosiery Plant and retired following 38 years of service. She also worked for K&W Cafeteria in Winston-Salem. She was a longtime member of Kerwin Baptist Church.
She was married to the late Robert Leroy Lemar, and also preceded in death by a daughter Linda Faye Shortt, a son Robert Eugene Lemar, and a grandson Michael Todd Simmons.
Survivors include her daughters Marceline Simmons, Wanda Lemar, and Sherry Lemar all of Kernersville;five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchilden; numerous nieces,
nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services.
