Mr. David Thomas Hand, Sr., age 69 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013.
Born Saturday, April 2, 1944 in Winnfield, he was retired as an iron worker in the construction industry and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Mr. Hand was preceded in death by his Parents, David Vernon and Mary Lois (Wilson) Hand.
Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife of 51 years, Francis Inez Hanson Hand; Son, David Thomas Hand, Jr. and wife Tonya; Daughter, Leah Sharee Neikirk and husband Lawrence;
Grandchildren, Christie Valentine, Donya Hand Stephens, Amber Neikirk, Shelby Neikirk and Thomas (T.J.) Neikirk; Great Grandchildren, Savannah Valentine, Justin Valentine, Derek Valentine and Westin Stephens; Sisters, Ondrea Carpenter and Susan Hemphill.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 27 at Beulah Baptist Church, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM , and again on Saturday, September 28 from 11:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery, in Atlanta.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Chad Underwood, Richie King, Roger Hanson, Jeff Horne, Thomas Waxley and Bobby Hutto. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Coleman, Bobby Bruce, Craig Gibbs, Jeff Kyle and Roy Jones.
