He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beulah Yancey of Winnfield; one son, Thomas J. Yancey, of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. Harvel Gray of Jonesboro; five brothers, Bert Yancey of Glenmora; Bennie Yancey of Lake Charles; Jimmy Yancey of Freeport, Texas; LeRoy Yancey of Carencro, La.; and Herman Yancey of Abbeville; four sisters, Mrs. Stella Ferguson of Glenmora; Mrs. Mary Lou Darie of Pineville; Mrs. Myrtle Jeffries and Mrs. Ethel Shows, both of Forest Hill; stepmother, Mrs. J. E. Yancey of Glenmora; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Laurel Heights Baptist Church with Rev. C. C. Martin officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
