Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Addington of Zachary and Mrs. Betty Westerchil of Leesville; four brothers, Wesley Carter, W. S. Carter, and Dayton L. Carter, all of Winnfield, and Edmond Carter of Calvin; five sisters, Mrs. Lois Dickerson of Winnfield, Mrs. Calop Carpenter of Calvin, Mrs. J. W. Bonnette of Winnsboro, Mrs. Annie Mae Fowler of Fort Necessity, and Mrs. Alma Fletcher of Natchez, Miss.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Southern Funeral Service Chapel with Tev. W. A. Wimbs officiating, assisted by the Rev. C. C. Martin and the Rev. Glyn Mixon.
Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield.
Pallbearers were Gary Wayne Carter, Rickie Carter, James Fletcher, Billy Carter, Sammy Carter, and Sonny Carter.
