Daughter of George Whittemore and Winnie Ramsey. Wife of Jasper E. Anders. Her children were: Lillie Anders Webb, Madison "Matt" B. Anders- who married Sarah Ella "Ellie" Whittemore (daughter of James Braxton and Fanny Henry Whittemore), Clarissa Anders, John Douglas Anders Sr., Loduska "Dusty" Anders Rice, Esta Anders, Hattie Anders Carson, Tinnie/Tina "Tiny" Anders Gardner. She suffered with Hypertension, Cardio Vascular disease and she experienced a Cerebral Hemorrhage. When she passed away at 1:15 PM on July 17, 1943, she was 92 years, 10 months and 9 days of age. She was a widow at the time of her death.
Another contributor maintains the notion that Elizabeth Anders was buried in the Anders Cemetery on Dillingham Rd. I have recently visited and worked in that cemetery which is on private property. I uncovered the markers that were buried under the humus and leaf litter and photographed each and every marker there.
When all of the cemeteries were recorded 30 years ago, none of the experts on local history ever cited the Anders Cemetery being the final resting place of Harriet Elizabeth Whittemore Anders.
