From the Webster Times, December 31, 1940:
Frank J. Sterczala died at his home on 40 Harris Street. He died from a heart attack. He left his wife Pelagia, two sons Charles and Stanley, and two daughters Mary and Wanda.

According to the 1900 Census:
He lived on Pearl Street in Webster, MA and he could read, write, and speak English. His occupation was listed as "spinner, cotton mill." He lived with his older brother Thomas and his mother Konstancya, as well as a boarder named Frank Pacholski.

He married Pelagia Nowacki on September 26, 1910 in Webster. The records say the couple were 25 and 20 years old, and they were both being married for the first time. His occupation was carpenter, and hers was weaver. They were both born in Germany (early records often say that western Poland was Germany, as it was part of Prussia until World War I). His parents were listed as Philip and Augusta (Jankowski) Sterczala and her parents as Anthony and Antonia (Rietz) Nowacki. The record was listed on Nov. 2 by A. A. Cyran, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA.
Note: some records have Frank's mother as Constance/Konstancja and her last name as Jankowska.

Town Clerk John E. Hickey issued a marriage license Saturday, to Frank Sterczala, aged 25, carpenter, and Miss Pelagia Nowacki, aged 20, weaver, both of Webster.

Miss Relagia (sic) Nowacki and Frank Sterczala were married Monday forenoon at St. Joseph's church. Rev. Anthony A. Cyran officiated. Following the ceremony at the church photographs of the wedding party were taken and a reception was given at the home of the bride Spring Street.
