On 8 May 1913, in Tyrrell Co., NC, Benjamin m. Lata [Lola?] Sarah Davidson. Not sure if her surname is "Davison" or "Davidson". The record wasn't viewable.

On 5 June 1917, Benjamin B. Basnight registered for the World War I draft in Alligator Twp, Tyrrell Co., NC. On this record, he states that he was born in 1892. He is employed "cutting mine propts" (?) for A.B. Houtz in South Shore. He states that he has a physical disability. He is described as short and stout with light brown eyes (hazel?) and dark brown hair.
