Bio

Native of North Carolina.
I became interested in family history in May 2010 when my mother's sister passed away. All three sisters had passed within three years! It made me realize that the older generation was leaving and if I wanted to know more about our family, I better start asking questions! I got very interested in family history and discovered that I really enjoy visiting eastern NC cemeteries, taking pictures of headstones, and figuring out who the people were and if/how they were related to me. I focus on Martin County (my dad's family) and Wilson County (my mom's family).

I am a member of the DAR. John Jackson Morgan Sr of Nash County, NC is the first Revolutionary War patriot I have been able to prove my connection to.

This hobby (obsession?) has been a real blessing in many ways. The best part is meeting relatives I never knew I had, and becoming friends with some of the most wonderful people I've ever known.

When contacting me about a memorial or photo I have added, PLEASE INCLUDE THE MEMORIAL NUMBER. I am surveying some large cemeteries in several NC counties, making sure each person has a memorial and headstone photo on FindaGrave. If you see a memorial or photo I have added, it does not mean I am related to that person.
