BRITTON'S NECK - Mrs. Virginia Haselden Cribb, 78, wife of Jimmie Cribb, Jr., died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Carolinas Hospital System of Marion.

Mrs. Cribb was born June 3, 1935 in Hemingway, a daughter of the late Arnold and Ozella Haselden Haselden.

She was a homemaker and a distributor for Stanley Products. She was a member of the Gideon Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Cribb was a member of Nebo Baptist Church, where she was a member of the WMU and the church choir and had also served as pianist, a Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School Director.

Surviving Mrs. Cribb in addition to her husband of 60 years and of the home are: her Son: Randy Cribb of Florence; her Daughter: Cindy Cribb and her fianc‚ Legrand Cantey of Nichols; her Daughter-in-Law: Sheila Cribb; 6 Grandchildren: Melissa (Chad) Herlong, Tangee (Randall) Larimore, Jay Cribb and his fianc‚ Katie Johnson, Josh (Ashley) Cribb, Weston (Joy) Watson and Jena Watson; 10 Great Grandchildren; 3 Brothers: Davis (Carolyn) Haselden of Hemingway, Larry (Marilyn) Haselden of Trinity, N.C. and Wendell (Debra) Haselden of Lexington, N.C.; a Sister-in-Law: Lula Haselden of Conway; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cribb was predeceased by a brother, Willard Haselden.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, August 11, at Nebo Baptist Church, with Rev. Luford Pope and Rev. Richard Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home of Marion.
