Mr. Sam Jones, 52, died at the home of his uncle, Mr. Joe W. Jones at Opp, last Monday at 10:00 A.M.
Mr. Jones was a prominent grocery merchant of Opp where he had lived for many years. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Essie Grimes of Opp; four brothers, Mr. Tommie Jones, Opp; Mr. Charles Jones, Curtis, Ala.; and Messrs. Miller and Howard Jones, of Brantley, Ala.
Funeral services were held from Oak Grove church near Brantley, Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. Rev. G.H. Shear officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove cemetery.
