Lois Trapp
(Died July 16, 2013)
Memorial services for Lois Trapp, 90, of Conde will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 22nd at the United Methodist Church in Conde. Loren Siefken will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the Conde Cemetery under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday at the funeral chapel from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Lois went to be with her Lord on July 16, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society in Clear Lake.
Lois Trapp was born June 4, 1923 to John and Elsie (Teske) Christensen. She grew up on a farm near Turton. She graduated from Brentford high school in 1941 and went on to obtain her teaching certificate at Northern Normal College. She taught at country schools in the Turton area. In 1943, Lois married Charles Trapp. They purchased a farm northwest of Conde where they lived until 1966 when they moved south of Conde.
Lois was active in many community organizations over the years. She especially enjoyed being a 4-H leader, singing in the church choir and participating in the UMW programs and plays. Playing bridge was one of her favorite activities. She was active in the Conde Senior Citizens, Conde UMW, and Conde Legion Auxiliary. She was actively involved in the restoration and maintenance of the Historic Turton Congregational Church.
She leaves behind two daughters 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Lois was preceded in death by Charles, two sons: Bill and Chuck, her siblings: Harold, Dick, Dorothy Kettering, Frank and Jack.
The family requests memorials to the Conde United Methodist Church.
