BUCYRUS: Wayne E. Frost, 79, of Bucyrus, died Monday, June 24, 2013 at Heartland of Bucyrus.

He was born June 12, 1934 in Sulphur Springs to the late Lester and Lucille (Stephenson) Frost. Wayne spent many years working janitorial services at various locations for Waycraft Industires and was a member of the Bucyrus Salvation Army.

He was an easygoing individual who cherished his independence and freedom. He and his longtime companion Chrissy were always on the go looking for local events to fill their lives and pass the time.

Wayne is survived by nieces and nephews, Sue (Garvan) Bollinger of Bucyrus, Bill Van Meter of North Carolina, Kay Hout and Chris Phillips, both of Bucyrus, and Leigh Frost of Columbus; great nieces and nephews, Jenna and Abby Bollinger, Casey Hout and Barry, Brian and Elizabeth Van Meter; one brother-in-law, Benton Groves of Bucyrus along with Wayne's longtime special friend, Chrissy Williams also of Bucyrus.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Frost; two sisters, Janet Groves and Anna Jean Phillips; one niece, Nancy Smathers; one nephew, Jerry Van Meter and a great niece, Amy Van Meter.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 29 at Wise Funeral Service where his funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. that day with Major William Augustine officiating. Burial will follow in Oceola Cemetery.

Contributions may be given to Bucyrus Salvation Army or Waycraft Industries through the funeral home.
