Born in Wolosyznowa (Voloshynovo), Stary Sambor, L'vivs'ka, Ukraine. Likely baptized in the same local Greek Catholic church as her siblings.

Parents names found to be Theodorus/Teodor/Fedio/Fedor Mamrycz (son of Joannis Mamrycz and Catharina Gudz/Senków) and Basilina/Wasylyna or "Mary" Najda (daughter of Theodorus Najda and Catharina Rapycz). Immigrated about 1911. Married Stefan "Steve" Sosnowski/Senosky September 6, 1913 in Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Julia became a naturalized citizen August 25, 1943. Her paperwork describes her as having a medium complexion with blue eyes and dark grown hair. She was 4' 11".

Service was held at the St. Michael's Ukrainian Church and Rosary at the Rossford Mortuary. Obituary is published in the Toledo Blade July 4, 1978.
