Edward was born March 15, 1925, in Gwynne, Alberta, Canada.
Edward was a World War II veteran in the Army Air Corp.
He was a retired master carpenter, and an over 50-year member of Carpenters Local 131. He helped build many custom homes in the Edmonds area.
Ed was a member of Checkerboard Squares Dance Club.
Ed was a long-time Edmonds resident, loving father, grandpa, father-in-law, hard worker and master carpenter; who liked to fish and camp with friends and family.
Ed is survived by his daughters, Judy (Bill) Baker and Pam (Larry) Conover; grandchildren, Stacey (Marc) Rockov, Sandra (Randy) Farley, Diane Conover and Jane (Bob) Waldher; great-grandchildren, Jared, Drew and Amy Farley, and Kayla Rockov; his brothers, Richard (Helen) Tusty and Joseph Tusty; and sisters, Ethalyn (John) Goetz and Rosa Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Anna; brother, Gilbert; infant son, Edward Jr.; and his sister, Tora Long; and his beloved wife, Fern in May 2006.
A Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Restlawn Memorial Park, 23800 – 104th Avenue West, Edmonds; with a gathering to follow at 12 noon at Edmonds Open Bible Church, 657 Daley St., Edmonds.
