Ward Adams, 98, formerly of the Revere Community of Madison County, NC and currently of Alexander, NC went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
Ward was born in Madison County on April 30, 1925 to his late parents, Andrew and Mirlie Wallin Adams.
He was a veteran of WWII where he earned two Bronze Stars.
After the war, Ward went on to retire as an industrial pipe fitter.
He truly enjoyed being in the outdoors. He loved to work on his farm raising cattle, gardening, and taking care of the land. He was a member of Union Valley Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Almarie; siblings; Ronald, Nolan, Arnold, Garland, Ervin, Wayne, Fannie, Neal, and Douglas.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Andrew Adams, Jr. of Texas; sister, Faye Adams of Marshall, NC; sister in law, Joan Adams; brother in law, Wendell Wallin; special nieces and caregivers, Rita Norton and Lora Mae Norton; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom all loved Ward dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home with Pastors Jimmy Dean Hensley and Sam Adams officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews.
Burial will follow in the Wallin Family Cemetery.
