Mrs. Betty Edmondson Miller of Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at her residence after a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Willard and Nannie Bowling Edmondson and was born in Carter County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers: Worley , Bud, Coy, Harmon, Howard, RL and O’Dell; and three sisters, Elizabeth, Haven and Ruby.

Mrs. Miller was of the Baptist faith and retired from Wal-Mart after many years. She loved cooking and working in her flowers.

Survivors include one sister, Lucy Edmondson, Hampton; her soul mate, Gene Cable, Elizabethton; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews also survive. Mrs. Miller is also survived by a great-great-nephew, Dylan Rouse and a great-great-niece, Kayla Pieffer, whom she loved and adored dearly; and her dog, Maggie.

The funeral service for Mrs. Miller will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, March 5th in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Hobert Bradshaw officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday prior to the service in the chapel and at the residence at other times.

The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 6th at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun, Minister officiating. Active pallbearers will be Travis Winters, Dylan Rouse, Dustin Gobble, Mike Miller, Bill Edmondson and Les Deskins. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ray Lamb, Dr. Carlos Floresguerra, Dr. David Moulton, Caris Hospice and her co-workers at Wal-Mart. Everyone will meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, at 12:15 PM on Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
