Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 2:p.m. at Gospel Water Branch Baptist church, Evans, GA with Rev. Robert Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. She was a native of Richmond County, GA; employed with the Richmond County Board of Education for over 30 years and a member of Clarks Grove Baptist Church, Evans, GA. Survivors are a devoted husband, Deacon Clarence Stokes; 6 children, Cleveland Stokes, Kent Stokes, Victoria Hartfield, Augusta, GA, James (Delois) Stokes, Kenny (Josephine) Stokes, Hephzibah, GA and Annie (Anthony) Harris, Evans, GA; twenty-two grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
