Mrs. Prall was born on September 12, 1906 in Tuxedo, N.Y., to John and Sophronia DeGraw Conklin where she was raised and attended local schools.
She married Peter Prall on August 16, 1925 in Monroe, N.Y. Peter died in 1971. Nona worked for Avon in Suffern for over 10 years. She was an honorary member of the Sloatsburg Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary, the Sloatsburg Seniors and a member of the Town of Ramapo's 90th Club and of St Elizabeth's Church in Eagle Valley.
Mrs. Prall is survived by her 2 loving children, her daughter Marguerite Sutherland of Sloatsburg and a son Peter R. Prall of Greenwood Lake; 3 cherished grandchildren, Shawn Forehand of Georgia, Gregory Prall of Sloatsburg and Brian Prall of Greenwood Lake; four great-grandchildren John Forehand of Georgia, Ariel Prall of Sloatsburg, Cheryl and Peter Prall of Greenwood Lake; and four great-great-grandchildren Madeline, Nathan, Lydia and Evelyn Forehand of Georgia.
Nona's Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday May 6, 2005 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Lambert officiating, with her interment to follow in the family plot in Sloatsburg Cemetery.
Her family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at The Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, N.Y.
