On 18 May 1848 farmer's hand Anne Klazes Leep married in his birth and residence place Sint Annaparochie at the age of 25 years to the five years older servant maid Grietje Harings Veenstra, born in Ferwerd, Friesland, daughter of laborer Haring Tjallings Veenstra and Aaltje Jans Miedema, both residing in Blija, Friesland.
From April 1849 until October 1858 Anne and Grietje Leep-Veenstra had six children in Sint Annaparochie: Klaas (1849), Aaltje (1850), Tjitske (1852), Liskje (1854), Sytske (1856) and Haring (1858).
Anne's son Klaas Leep and his family emigrated in 1893 and 1896 to the USA and had there many Leep-descendants. The other son, Haring stayed in Friesland and had "only" two daughters, so this Frisian Leep family and surname died out in the Netherlands, but was continued in the USA.
In 1849 and 1858 Anne was shopkeeper in Sint Annaparochie when his sons Anne and Haring were born. Anne was in 1862 shopkeeper in Sint Annaparochie too, when his wife Grietje Veenstra died at the age of 45 years.
On 13 April 1883 laborer Anne Leep remarried in Sint Annaparochie at the age of 60 years the 17 years younger Diena van der Laan, born in Giethoorn, province Overijssel, daughter of Gerben Jans van der Laan and Trijntje Jans Rotsma, since 1876 widow of Hans van Zandbergen.
Anne Leep died in 1909 at the age of 86 years in his birth and residence place Sint Annaparochie, widower of Grietje Feenstra and Diena van der Laan.
