MaryAnn Van De Coevering, 85 of Gresham OR, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.

She was born on February 21, 1928 in Greenleaf, Wisconsin to William and Kathryn (Breunig) Broeren. She graduated in 1946 from Kaukauna High School in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. She came to Portland in 1953 and has lived in Gresham since 1998. She married George Louis Van De Coevering on June 7, 1958 in Portland, Oregon and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2008.

MaryAnn worked as a cook in the North Clackamas School District for 13 years. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church and the Milwaukie Elks Lodge. She loved old movies, the beach and collected stamps and salt & pepper shakers.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Van De Coevering of Boring OR; sons George Van De Coevering of Sandy OR, Christopher Van De Coevering of Helsinki Finland and Vincent Van De Coevering of Lacey WA; sisters Alice Broeren of Chicago IL, Kathy Sarconi of Denver CO and Eileen Bedard of Aloha OR; brothers Paul Broeren of Manawa WI, Tom Broeren of Green Bay WI, George Broeren of Kaukauna WI, Bill Broeren of Combined Locks WI and Ed Broeren of Kaukauna WI; grandchildren Jessica Van De Coevering of Monmouth OR, Katherine Van De Coevering of Boring OR, Henri Van De Coevering and Max Van De Coevering both of Helsinki, Finland.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church, 5239 SE Woodstock, Portland OR 97206. Interment will follow at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
