John Casedy, 75, well known farmer of the Clarksville-Mercer Road, died at his home Saturday evening at 9 p. m. after a brief illness of pneumonia. Mr Casedy was born in 1855 son of Michael Casedy and Elizabeth Davis Adams, and had farmed in this county for many years. He was married 48 years ago to Mrs. Jennie Bowie Casedy and was highly respected and widely known through out the territory.
Besides his window, he is survived by the following children:
John and Frank at home, Albert of Clarksville, Clarence of Monroe, Mich., Lee of Sharon; one daughter, Mrs. Albert Smith of Sharon.
He also leaves one brother, A. J. Casedy, of New Castle and one sister, Mrs. Samuel Johnston, of Mercer and one half-sister, Mrs. Harriet Reeher of New Virginia.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. from the home with Rev. M. L. Garhart Sharpsville and Rev. C. E. Baker, of Clarksville officiating.
Interment will be in Zahniser cemetery.
