The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996, at Central United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Chris Thore. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
A native of Asheboro, she was a 1962 graduate of Asheboro High School, and a graduate of Guilford College. She received her Masters of Education from UNC Chapel Hill. She was office manager of Evans Music Center, and a former teacher with the Asheboro City Schools.
She is survived by her husband, Richard I. Evans; son, Douglas I. Evans of the home; Allison L. Evans of the home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Lewis Wright of Asheboro; brother, James L. Wright of Atlanta, Ga.; stepson, Richard S. Evans of Corning, N.Y.; and stepdaughter, Julie A. Schloss of Bethesda, Md.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1996, at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
