HIGH POINT - Thelma Culler Royals, age 94, a former resident of Sunset Drive died Thursday, December 20th, 2007 at the Evergreens of High Point, where she had been a resident for the past two and a half years. She had previously lived at Piedmont Christian Home. A native of Guilford County she was born May 3rd, 1913 in High Point a daughter of the late Perry Lee Culler, Sr. and the late Carrie Fowler Culler. A beautician, she had owned Emerywood Beauty Shop for many years until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
On September 3rd, 1932 she was married to Clay P. Royals who preceded her in death in 1972. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Blanche C. Mann and five brothers, Odell Culler, Elbert Culler, Harold Culler, Arnold Culler and Perry Lee "Pete", Culler, Jr Surviving are a daughter, Peggy Nooe and her husband Clayton of High Point; two grandsons, Mike Nooe and his wife Donna and Lee Nooe and his wife Susan; two greatgrandchildren, one step-greatgrandson; one great-greatgrandson and two "adopted" children, Bill and Charlotte Sullivan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the Mausoleum Chapel at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery with Bill Sullivan and Curtis Ritch officiating.
