Dorothy Jonett Wise Smiley, age 67 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
Mrs. Smiley was a beautician and owned Mark 1 Hair Salon in Winnfield for many years. She was the daughter of the late J. B. and Geneva Harper Wise. Mrs. Smiley was also preceded in death by a brother Gary D. Wise and a sister Sheila Moffett.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 48 years Wilburn Smiley, son Mark and his wife Mandy Smiley, four grandchildren Christopher J. Smiley, Canaan B. Smiley, Jacie E. Smiley, and Madison P. Smiley, and one great grandchild Gabby.
She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Donnie Wise and wife Jean, Betty Taylor and husband Taylor, Ricky Wise and wife Wanda, Terry Wise and wife Brenda, Jackie Wise and wife Carolyn, Randy Wise, Sandy Corbitt, and Donna Hammons and husband Mark. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, at Hurrican Grove Baptist Church, with Reverends Rayford Chandler and Teddy Sharbano officiating. Interment will follow in the Hurricane Grove Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Friends may visit with the family in the church Tursday from 8:30 a.m. until time of services.
