She was my Godmother. She was born in Yugoslavia and was in a Yugoslavian concentration camp at the age of 13 for 2 years. She came to the United States in 1956.
I used to love listening to her talk about what she has gone through. I would always laugh when my mom and her would talk on the phone for literally hours and when I would ask her what they were talking about and my mom would say "oh nothing". 5 hours of phone conversation about nothing. I used to get a kick out of that. She is terribly missed. What I would do to just to listen to my mom and her talking on the phone. She was also an awesome cook. Loved all the pastries that she would make.
