In Cooper Bible that Mother [Emily Ella Wood Cooper] had - 'Henry Wood & Emily M Wood with their family of 10 children, five boys and five girls, crossed the Plain from Sullivan Co, Missouri to Oregon in 1864, landing at Lafayette in October."

All ten children were raised and married in Yamhill Co, Oregon

The family crossed the plains with an ox team. The youngest child, Ella, was one and one-half years old when they started and they were six months on the road.
