Marion was born in Lindon, Utah Territory. She joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 4 September 1910, in Bingham Caynon, Utah. She married Francis Linice Winn on 2 December 1918, in Elko, Nevada. They are the parents of the following:
1) Francis Dee Winn (1919-1963)
2) Harold Linice "Jay" Winn (1921-1999) md (a) Huldah Dawson, (b) Roberta Jacqueline Kring/divorced, and (c) Cherrille Laree Dawson
3) Marjorie Louise Winn (1923-1925)
4) Edward Bert Winn (1924-1992) md Beverly Jean Shields
5) Benjamin Franklyn Winn (1927-1988) md living
6) Barbara Lucille Winn (1933-2009) md Robert Lee Peck

Marion had four sons who were all serving in WWII, when she had a dream that her son, Jay, was calling her name. She received notice a week later, that his plane had been shot down and he was in a POW camp. He suffered severe injuries and as an officer, he was traded and allowed to receive the medical care that he needed to make a full recovery.

Marion was a good mother who did everything she could for her children.
