GALLATIN, Tenn. - Mrs. Joanne Harvey Rucker, 52, of Fannis Circle, entered into rest December 3, 2012. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Harmony Baptist Church, Augusta with Rev. Dr. Woodrow Miller officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Rucker, a native of Richmond County was a 1977 graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Sgt. Major Alexander Rucker, Gallatin, TN; a son, Tyree Harvey, East Meadow, NY; a daughter, Charice Cross, Gallatin, TN; her mother, Jeannette (Clarence) Bright, Augusta, GA; two brothers, Donnell (Tena) Harvey, Gallatin, TN and Walter Harvey, Arizona; four sisters, Juanita Harvey (Steve) Hoggard, Angela Harvey, Augusta, GA; Hermeon (Jeff) Hill, North Augusta, SC and Shireen Harvey (Muhammed) Ali, Schenectady, NY; mother-in-law, Charlie Rucker, Detroit, MI; sister-in-law, Michelin (Duane) Poe, Detroit, MI; brother-in-law, Edward (Lisa) Rucker, Atlanta, Ga.,; goddaughter, Sheri Torres Rodriguez; a host of other relatives and friends.
