Son of the late Jerry and Anniee Mae Huskins Ingram, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Reggie Ingram and Paul Ingram. He was a veteran of the United States Army (Vietnam). He was retired from Coats American. He could play several musical instruments including the guitar, dobro and banjo. He enjoyed woodworking. He was survived by his wife, Margie Bucchanan Ingram; daughters, Tammy Morgan (Allan) and Wanda Pendley; son, Tommy Ingram (Sylvia); sister, Betty Weathers (Doug); brother, Paul Ingram, Jr. (Hazel); and an extended family of relatives and friends including grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His funeral was held at Gouges Creek Baptist Church with The Rev. Tommy Thomas and The Rev. John McKinney officiating.
