Funeral director. Originally a professional baseball player who played shortstop with the Norwood semi-pro team that won the world championship in 196, he had injured his leg in a game and failed his tryout with the Cincinnati Reds (a team later owned by his brother Sidney). He became co-owner of Weil Funeral Home after the death of his father and became the second generation to work in the funeral industry. He graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. After military service in 1919 he operated the funeral home with his brother Burt and the business became Weil Brothers. In 1925 a new location was purchased in North Avondale and an even newer facility was built in 2001. He himself retired in 1986.
