Barbara "Bobbie" Bourgeois Chutz , Mom and Granny was born in Westwego, LA on March 26, 1934 and passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2012. Cherished wife of the late John A. "Sonny" Chutz II for 50 years. Loving mother of John A. Chutz III (the late Lois P. Chutz), Michael B. Chutz, Patrick J. Chutz, Sr. (Cindy R. Chutz), Kathleen C. Burkhardt (Robert J. Burkhardt). Daughter of the late Lancelot S. and Ruby H. Bourgeois. Proud grandmother of Anne K. Chutz, Ashley C. Pohlmann (Ronnie E. Pohlmann), Patrick J. Chutz, Jr. (Jennifer Duhy), Robert J. Burkhardt II and Kathryn R. Burkhardt. Great grandmother of Gavin A. Pohlmann, Kinlee J. Pohlmann and Drew P. Pohlmann.
Bobbie graduated in 1955 as a Registered Nurse from Charity School of Nursing, where she also practiced and worked as a nursing supervisor.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM.
