CLYDE WARD
Clyde Ward 66 years of age of Mouth Card, KY passed away Friday, July 30, 2004 in the Mountain View Health Care Center, Elkhorn City, KY. Born in Buchanan County February 7, 1938 he was the son of the late Stewart Ward and Naomie Stacy Ward Campbell. He was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith, a former employee of United Coal, avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanford Ward and Roger Dell Ward. One half sister, Linda Ward.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Joyce Ann Harrison Ward of Mouth Card, KY. Four sons, Randy Edward Ward, Rocky Allen Ward and wife Sherry, Ricky Dean Ward and wife Sandra all of Hurely, VA and Kevin Clyde Ward and wife Sheila of Big Rock, VA. Two Step sons, Keith Kinder and wife Valerie and Anthony Wayne Kinder and fiancee Brandi all of Mouth Card, KY. One sister, Helen Christian and one half sister, Connie Stiltner both of Jewell Ridge, VA. Three half brothers, Harold Ward and Darrell Ward both of Jewell Ridge, VA and Roger Stacy of Austin, TX.
He was also survived by five grandchildren, two step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Clyde Ward will be conducted Monday, August 2, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: Howard Daniels, Howard Ramey, Jerry Overstreet, Larry Puckett, Frank Oquinn, Toy Looney, Danny Belcher, Roger Coleman and Carson Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
Active Pallbearers will be: Keith Kinder, Anthony Kinder, Luther Harrison, Jr., Lonnie Williamson, James Taylor, Philip Lester, Donnie Stiltner and Tommy Stiltner.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Nursing Staff of Mountain View Health Care Center.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. Saturday. Evening services will be held Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m..
