Family Burial plot on documented property belonging to members of the John Burton family. The Burton family properties were numerous and over time became split between sons, brothers and sometimes sold. Most of the deeds and land records can easily be found within the Henrico County Orders Books and the Wills & Deeds Books.

Westham Plantation was the family home of Hutchins Burton, son of Robert and Mary Nowell Burton. The land was once a portion of an original tract owned by Hutchins Burton's grandfather, John Burton, who passed it down to his son, Robert Burton, who in turn deeded it to his son, Hutchins, who then left it in halves, one half to his youngest son Julius, the other half to his son Hutchins.
