Add PhotosPublished in "Our People And Where They Rest," James W. Tyner, and Alice Tyner Timmons, American Indian Institute, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. 1973 Vol. 8, p. 69 (Library of Congress No. QE99-C5-T97)
Their information is given here as a historical reference and is presented "as is." Their book, like many such cemetery listing compilations, may contain errors. As with any genealogy information, this is merely a "source" and should be considered as such. It falls upon the end-user to verify the accuracy. Most of the volumes are available for online viewing, only at your LDS Family History Library, a partner library, or a Family History Center. (LDS)
Adjacent to this grave-site (and between it and the old Anderson home, a two-story log structure Tyner mentioned) is a burial ground with an estimated 40-50 Civil War soldiers, who died at the make-shift hospital there. The dead consisted of both Union and Confederate troops, and they were buried in the area west of the old home.
