Dedicated August 3, 1991 Walker Family Cemetery
Here in unmarked graves, lie many of this proud and honorable family. They are forever in the care of a loving heavenly father.
The Walker Home
The house stood from the late 1700's until 1960. Once 900 yards South Southeast of this stone, there was a home surrounded by ancient oak trees, a farm, and a beautiful apple orchard. This was owned and cherished by the Walker Family until 1932.
Emily Brabble was born in this home. Upon her marriage to Wilson Walker, she was given the house and farm by her father, John Brabble, who lived on an adjoining farm. To Wilson and Emily were born six children: Macon, Wilson M., Adelia, Anthia Ellen, Alice M. and John Caleb.
A few years after Emily's death, Wilson Walker married Caroline Coulter Johnson and to them one child was born, Ernest Eugene. Wilson build a new house across from the Currituck Court House and left this house and farm tohis son, John Caleb.
John Caleb & his wife Julia Aleeta lived here and to them were born nine children: Winton, Bertha, Gertrude, Anthia Emily, Jack, Jim, Wallace, Authur Cromwell, and Edna Love
