Pickens Point Cemetery

When you reach the intersection of County Road 162 and North County Rd 69C, turn south, toward the Poudre Canyon. From this point Pickens Point cemetery is approximately 1.2 miles, at the steep switchbacks, located on the south side of the road. A car can park in front of the sign, "Pickens Point", the 3 headstones are just behind the sign. The sign for the cemetery is made of wood with Pickens Point burned into the wood; and is mounted on a metal pole at a very scenic overlook of the valley of 7 Mile Creek which joins the Cache la Poudre River (the original white settlers to this area were French fur trappers; hid their cache of gun powder in a cave at the mouth of the river referred to as the "Cache la Poudre" or French for "Cache of Gunpowder".
This cemetery is located on a point that juts out from the road and a little path leads down to what appears to be a spot to picnic.
There are currently only 3 interments in this cemetery.
