old Ramsey farm located off Vaughan Creek Road near Murfreesboro, North
Carolina, found in 2010 to be in very poor condition, some graves having
been disrupted and ground sunken, with fallen stones of earlier years
now upright, leaning on supporting objects.
Property owned in 1905, by Cornelia "Nellie" Hartshorn (Vaughan)
Winborne (1855-1930) wife of Judge Benjamin Brodie Winborne (1854-1919).
Dr Euclid Borland reinterred his family and father-in-law, Capt Moore,
from their graves in Mississippi and Louisiana to Ramsey cemetery during
year 1852, and son Phocion from Petersburg, VA in 1863, His nephew,
Thomas Roscius Borland (FAG 11378395), of Norfolk, VA oversaw burials of
Dr Euclid, his 2nd wife Lucy and son Gen Euclid of New Orleans (who died
in his home, they being closest of friends, born a month and 1000 miles
apart, raised, educated and toured Europe together, and very close for
life.)
