Add PhotosWilliam Edward Brodnax acquired the plantation in 1811. His son Robert Brodnax inherited it in 1820 and probably is responsible for the construction of the house circa 1830. Robert's daughter, Mary Wilson Brodnax Brodnax (she married a cousin), later inherited the house and she and her husband, Dr. John Grammar Brodnax lived there. Their daughter Nancy sold the house and land in 1890.
