Located on the north side of Provincial Range Road 56 North, about 0.75 miles (1.2 km) east of Hwy 83 or 1/4 mile west of Cemetery Road
A network of roadways provides vehicular access to the grounds.

This cemetery is located immediately south of Virden. A stone chapel within the cemetery was constructed in 1981. A monument commemorating those who died during military service in the Second World War and Korean War was erected by the Royal Canadian Legion (Virden Branch) in 1982.
Among the noteworthy people buried in its cemetery are the following: Herbert H. Goulter, Finlay C. J. McLeod, and James W. Scallion.

A part of the town's story and those of its inhabitants from the early days of European settlement through roughly 1982 is told in the volume "Anecdotes and Updates 1882-1982 -- Virden Centennial Souvenir", and the related volume "The Virden Story - 1882-1957".
