From I-85 take the Salisbury Exit. Head towards Albemarle. After about 8 or 9 miles you'll come to St. James Lutheran Church. Turn left at that light. Head 3 blocks and the cemetery will be on your left. There are 3 entrances to the cemetery. This cemetery is shared by multiple churches in the area (Saint James Lutheran, Ursinus United Methodist, and Rockwell United Methodist Church), of different denominations.
Ursinus Cemetery and St James Lutheran Church Cemetery were both formerly known as Rockwell Cemetery. Rockwell Cemetery, or Rockwell City Cemetery was the first name of what is known as many names. Some of those are Ursinus United Church of Christ Cemetery, St James Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rockwell Lutheran Cemetery, and also Rockwell Methodist Church Cemetery. Somewhere in the 1980's when it was decided that most of the parishioners of the churches were buried on distinct sides or the cemetery it was decided to split it into Ursinus, & St James Cemetery. Each side took it's own name from the churches attended of the people buried there although "old timers" still call it Rockwell Cemetery. The only deviation from this is the back section of the cemetery where Rockwell Methodist parishioners are buried. Mixed in the back right section are both St James parishioners as well as Rockwell Methodist parishioners. The far left side is directly behind Ursinus United Church of Christ Cemetery and remains predominately burials from that church.
