The children of John L. and Florence Gaines Harris are Robert Malcom 1907-1968, James Wilbur 1908-1998, Dewitt H. 1910-1975, Ann Ruth Harris Patterson 1914-1982, John L. 1917-1953, and Carl D. 1920-1995. Malcolm, Carl, and John L. served in WWII. John L. is buried at Memphis National Cemetery. The rest of this family are all here at Crittenden Memorial. The father of John, Sr. was William Nelson Harris b. 1818 NC d.1896 White Co., Ar. He is buried at West Point. William's second wife, and John's mother, was Tennessee Ann Boggan b. 1840 Tn. She died in 1924 in Benton, Ar., where she resided at that time with John and his family. She is buried at Social Hill.
