**** If you wish to use any family photos or photos of headstones I have added to ancestry.com in your Ancestry.com tree, feel free to do so but do give credit to where and who you found it from if you repost them on the site. You may not reproduce, alter, nor sell any of these photos. All of my photos are unedited outside of cropping them. You may not retype any written works without giving credit and without my express permission. You may not use these photos for any reason involving monetary gain. If you are a relative, you may crop photos to get headshots for your ancestry tree. Please do not share any family photos I have added to other social media sites. 4 Oct 2023 ****

****If I have created a memorial for your relative in Cedar Hill Cemetery and you wish to manage it, send me a transfer request through the "contact manager" button in "edit suggestions" with how you're related and your member ID and I'll be happy to make the transfer!****

The Spain Family Bible
--started by Herbert Paul Spain, grandson of Edward and Sarah Church Hall Spain, with the help of a professional genealogist and his, at the time, living relatives. Herbert Paul Spain passed this information on to his daughter-in-law, Ida Bowers Cole Spain, who passed this family treasure (before her death) down to her 3rd son who (about 13 years ago) passed it down to me.

————————
—Ancestry.com member since 2011
— research member of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania
—unofficial Daughter of the American Revolution since 2018 (unofficial because I've been extremely lazy about finishing filing my paperwork and paying the membership fee. I should get on that.)
— Fun Fact #1: I have so far visited 25 U.S. states, 4 Canadian provinces, 1 Mexican state, and 3 European countries.
— Fun Fact #2: I used to be absolutely petrified of cemeteries. My dad is the one who helped me get over that by taking me to the grave sites of authors, musicians I loved, U.S. presidents, and other famous people throughout history starting from around age 8 well into my 20s.

————————
— To everyone who has accepted a family link or edit suggestion I have made or transferred a relative to me without a ton of questions or condescension, I truly and genuinely appreciate you and the work that you do on this site. Genealogical research should be shared and I want to thank you for allowing me to share mine.

—For any and all edits I suggest, please make sure to look at the photos on that memorial as I will always make sure to leave verified information backing up my edit suggestions.

—If you see someone I have created a memorial for doesn't have burial details, it is only because those details are currently a brick wall but still actively being worked on. It does not mean that these people do not exist, that I have a bunch of misinformation about them, or that another memorial for them exists elsewhere on the site. Any information you may have or find about the final location of these relatives is greatly appreciated, but please don't create a new memorial for them.

— If you would like for me to transfer a page (or pages) I manage, please explain your relationship to that person. If you are a direct descendent, I will not hesitate to transfer the memorial page over to you with the exception of any of my aunts and uncles (including great aunts and uncles), my grandparents and any of my great grandparents no matter how far back they go. I will not transfer management of any memorial pages I maintain to anyone who is not a relative (close or distant) as I would like to keep each family tree in my forest as connected as possible. If I request a transfer from you and you are a closer relative of the person I am requesting, just shoot me a message so I can feel sheepish and then ignore that I even asked.

**** The amount of memorial managers on here who break the rules despite preaching these same rules in their bios or private messages is astounding:
— Stop creating pre-need memorials. It is against the rules, and I will catch you in the lies you tell about doing research on that person. I will report you to Find A Grave.
— If a family member for a memorial requests a transfer within guidelines, transfer the memorial. To not do so, unless you are also a relative within guidelines, is against the rules. You don't need to manage thousands of memorials for people not related to you.
— Please use the search bar to look up the people you are making memorials for before you make them. I am finding too many duplicate memorials on this site. One infant does not need 3 memorials made for her. I found all three memorials easily just by typing in her name and the state she's buried in. If you had used the search tool beforehand, you would have found the original memorial easily too. The fact this issue is occurring with a contributor who assumed I had made a duplicate memorial for someone, and gave me grief about it, is absolutely laughable. And insane.
— Do not send condescending messages to other contributors with a high and mightly attitude when you didn't do a lick of research about what you are saying.
— Do not send threatening messages to other contributors saying "all those who are burial details unknown will be lost to you if someone else places them in the correct cemetery" when you have countless burial details unknowns that you have created, including for your own immediate relatives and complete strangers. Work on your own burial details unknown memorials first before berating others for having a few of them. I do not have patience nor respect for these types of people.
— I can always tell who is and isn't active on this site. Don't send me messages about one of my relative's memorials regarding some assumed mistake you think I've made while completely ignoring every single edit suggestion I have sent for my other relatives' memorials. I shouldn't have to wait 21 days for Find A Grave to do it for you. Do your job as the memorial manager, or transfer the memorials to me if you can't be bothered.
— DO NOT STALK THE WORK OF OTHER CONTRIBUTORS ON THIS SITE JUST TO CREATE THE MEMORIALS FOR THAT PERSON'S FAMILY. Saying "I was only trying to help and was going to transfer them to you" (after sending a zero fact based condescending message to which you were quickly corrected about) when you clearly had no intention of transferring them after weeks of no response but very active making memorials for those relatives using info left in bios and causing a problem enough for it to be taken directly to Find A Grace is super messed up. Don't claim you are here to share research if you aren't going to share research but would rather steal the work of others to create their family's memorials and ignoring the relative whose work you are stealing in the process.
— Death certificates, GPS coordinates, etc are acceptable things to add to Find A Grave according to their rules. To not add GPS coordinates simply because you claim "too many times the coordinates on a memorial are wrong" is ridiculous. You obviously didn't visit the grave and have no plans to as the memorial was created without a photo and with the bare minimum of info. If I say my family member's grave is where I say it is after taking the time to locate their plot and photograph it, just trust that I did the work to make sure it's correct. I don't half ass anything on this site nor ancestry and neither should you.
