After I re-opened my boxes of 25 year old family tree information in Nov 2021 and decided to try to answer a few basic family history questions that weren't clear in my head, I got "sucked" into family genealogy when I found find-a-grave and more fully realized the wealth of information now available here (as well as other sites). After a period of lurking, during which time I also joined 3 other sites (which seem to be all in the "family"), I finally decided to become a contributor here and especially to expand on the work of others, to connect the numerous preexisting memorials (mostly those related to my family) that were not connected, and / or which did not have any supplemental context provided to honor their memory. That is my focus in my first year here.
