Bio

I turned my contact me off due to the number of edit requests that were being left on this page instead of through the edit requests system.

I've taken over a large number of memorials from a few inactive and deceased contributors. I'm trying to work through them to update them and add info but it will take a while. I welcome any edits and bio suggestions that you wish to send.

Please notice where the pictures on memorials come from. If I didn't add the picture, I cannot remove the picture. You will have to message the person who added the picture. I also cannot delete the memorial if I didn't make the memorial.

Please do not add duplicate pictures or records to the memorials. Leave room for other relative records to be added.

If requested to adjust inscription spacing, it will be declined and left as is. Sorry.

Obits should NOT be changed from the original obituary that was printed in the paper.

I do not accept subtraction DOB's

If you are reading this because you think that edits aren't being done in a timely manner, please be patient. Yes, I'm still an active member. We as managers have twenty (20) days to accept or not accept each suggestion.

I will not transfer any memorials if a relationship is not listed. If it is not listed in the request, I will just ignore it.

Stating someone was your "direct descendant" is not specific and from now on, you will not receive a response.

WARNING - If you request changes by sending to my email, they will be deleted without action. ALL CHANGES must be requested using the edit button on the appropriate memorial.

If you send an edit thru the tab on the memorial please don't send another edit thru 'other suggestions'. This action will not get your suggestion taken care of quicker.

When I receive an edit, I research ALL records available and will add whatever is necessary. I crop, focus, straighten all images before posting, to show respect for the deceased and their families. Please don't add an array of poor quality images out of respect for the deceased's family. I desire to make each memorial I manage as attractive and pleasing as possible.

"Our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them." ~ George Eliot

You live as long as you are remembered. -- Russian proverb

"I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love." ~Leo Buscaglia

Please don't assume that I am the one that made the memorial that you are making a suggestion for. I have adopted many of the memorials that I now manage. I think that if you are assuming that point, you are not looking at the memorial in whole but just rushing thru suggestions to satisfy your urge to contribute. Just make a suggestion without laying blame at someone's feet. We all make mistakes and the person who made the memorial did the best they could when the memorial was made. Isn't it nice that a memorial can be updated when new or old information is found. I for one, applaude everyone that has taken the time to add a memorial or two to this site.

I take care of edits first. Then I get to the email suggestions as I have time. Please be patient.

Please be polite when making suggestions. Rudeness doesn't need to have a place anywhere. Rudeness towards me will get you nowhere.

PLEASE DO NOT send edits linking memorials I have created or manage to burial unknown memorials, I will politely decline the edit.

I don't estimate birth years. The relatives of the dearly departed not only could get the date of death wrong on the monument but the age at death. Too many people take anything they find on the Internet as gospel, and I will not contribute to that bad habit. (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

I don't add census reports to my memorials. Please do not send census reports for me to add. I will not be adding any to the memorials I manage.

Please do NOT put bios with the flowers you leave on the memorials I manage. Send information thru "other suggestions" on the memorial. I can then add into the bio section where the information should be placed....Thank you

I DO NOT place census records on my memorials. I DO NOT place census reports on families in the bio section. Please stop sending them to me thru 'other suggestions'. When I research the person, I look at census records and if I can find family members they will normally be added.

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to manage the memorials you have, please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

Consort and relic refer to a spouse, usually to women. A consort is a husband or wife of a living spouse. A relic is a widow.

I DO NOT connect to burials unknown. Please find the grave before asking me to connect anyone to an unknown grave memorial.

Edits should be submitted thru the edit tab on the memorial. If the suggestion pertains to something other than what can be taken care of thru the edit tab, it can be submitted under 'other suggestions' on the memorial. If you choose to send edits thru 'other suggestions', they will be ignored. No one needs to make findagrave harder than it is to keep up with edits.

Provide supporting documentation with suggestions using the edit tab and selecting "suggest other..." from the memorial. If I ask for additional information, please send within a few days of my asking.

I will transfer a memorial page to you if you are a descendant/relative within Find A Grave guidelines. Please give your details using the link "Suggest Other Corrections" under the "Suggest Edits" button.
