AS an EX Service Man "A Veteran"I help to maintain the memories of our Fallen Comrades, those of them who sacrificed so much for our Country."WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM"

READ FIND A GRAVE NOTES ... They encourage members to refer to local customs or relevant military guidelines for specific guidance on veteran status.
SUGGESTION.. CHECK WITH YOUR OWN GOVERNMENT LEGILATION or "VETERAN AFFAIRS WEBSITES"

UK..WHO IS A VETERAN?
Personel who has served in the Active Military, Army, Navy or Air Force, and who have completed their service to the Crown or Medically Discharged. they then become a VETERAN

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) defines a veteran as: "anyone who has served for at least one day in Her Majesty's Armed Forces (Regular or Reserve), or Merchant Mariners who have seen duty on legally defined military operations." Under the definition, Veterans HAVE ALREADY LEFT the Armed Forces.

USA... VETERAN
Title 38 of the Code of Federal Regulations defines a veteran as "a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable."

NOTE .. All Rank.Prefix/ Abbreviations are correct for ALL UNITED KINGDOM AND COMMONWEATH FORCES
ie...
PTE.. Pte.. is the Abbreviation for Private.
GNR.. Gnr.. is the Abbreviation for Gunner.
TPR.. Tpr.. is the Abbreviation for Trooper.
CFN.. Cfn.. is the Abbreviation for Craftsman.
AND SO ON ....
PLEASE DO NOT ASK TO CHANGE TO THE FULL RANK .. IT WILL BE DECLINED UNLESS.... you have added Mr And Mrs. As Mister and Misses to all your Memorials...
Thank you

DO NOT ASK TO MAKE A CHANGE FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL BE DECLINED .. AND MAY OFFEND
