Hello. I am Niki Pappas. My family and I have adopted the war grave of Woodrow Fry at The Netherlands American War Cemetery at Margraten in The Netherlands.
You can check the website of the foundation for adopting these grave. A very unique initiative. Your President George W. Bush came to visit Margraten during his presidency, to pay tribute to your brave men and also to thank the Dutch folks for their adoption program.
Al the adopters try to get in contact with relatives of the fallen American soldiers. They have beautiful marble crosses on their graves, but we as adopters, try to find information about the soldiers in order to give them a face and a history. We have programs at our schools to keep the memory of our liberators alive.
I would like to call on relatives of Woodrow Fry to send me an email. I really would like to get in touch so you are aware of the fact that we cherish the graves of your brave men. We put flowers at their graves at a regular basis, e.g. Memorial Day and Christmas. It is really hard to find relatives because of the privacy laws. Therefore I give you my emailadres.
