It all started in the winter of 2020/2021, freezing, snowing and our 3rd covid lockdown. I have been interested in local history and through that I have learned to appreciate the large body of work done by local historians. I have utilised Ossett Net, Ossett Through the Ages, Horbury and Sitlington History Group, Horbury and District Historical Society and Wakefield and District Family History Society resources for my entries to find a grave. I am looking forward to spring and getting out to make my own discoveries.

I live in West Yorkshire in England and am willing to look for graves etc in the local area.

I am trying to make a full record of the cemeteries I live near and am using local history records to add in the details for headstones which I cannot read or are missing. I started this when tracing my own family tree and my aim is to help anyone tracing their family. I do not want to upset anyone, so if anyone wants me to remove or transfer memorials please let me know.
