UPDATED 9/16/2022 - For people linked via 23and me - I have listed some browsing starting points below. I had some errors initially, but hopefully they have been resolved. If you have taken information from my/this findagrave profile before 9/16/22, I urge you to view the updated information on the ancestor's memorial. I have tried to link up as many ancestors memorials as possible for the most seamless browsing possible.. And of course, this is an ongoing endeavor. Please also feel free to peruse my virtual cemeteries.

I'm here mainly for genealogy purposes. This account is linked from my 23andme profile. I've been researching family in old newspapers & other local resources for 25 years; I'm thankful I don't have to sift through microfilm so much anymore. I have a collection of printed articles, original photos & historical documents dating back 200 years. I use services like findagrave to fill in the blanks.

A word about photos I submitted: in short, be respectful & when in doubt, ask. Verbosely, remain in good character & stewardship: (1) if it's an illustration, please ask; (2) if it appears the photo is from a personal/family collection, then: (A) if you aren't a descendant, sibling, parent, grandparent, niece/nephew of the person/people in the photograph; please ask. (B) Use photos/images respectfully as they pertain to the person, family or locations in the photo. (C) If it looks like an scan of an old newspaper article or obituary, it was scanned by a descendant from the first prints of the original lovingly preserved for many years by a descendant, so please kindly mention it was taken from the Descendants of [insert name of person]'s Family Albums. Otherwise, please kindly obtain a copy of the same articles by way of Internet newspaper search or library microfilms. (3) If it's a headstone of someone you are related to but I'm not, then I feel you have more freedoms than I do; I'd _appreciate_ credit, but it's not required.

A word about transfers: most of the memorials I manage are related to me, but I manage some that aren't. If they're related to you and not me, _please contact me_. I'm not one of _those_ people that create drama concerning the dearly recently or historically departed -- I feel that's just plain mean. These memorials are to memorialize the deceased, not pomp the memorial managers. I want the memorial to be managed by who the deceased would want to manage their memorial.

23ANDME or MYHERITAGE or our ANCESTRY/GENEALOGY:

Someday I'll build a website for the family tree, but for now, I put it here.

*I don't manage memorials marked with an asterisk. The managers of these aren't recognized by anyone in my branch of the tree, haven't responded to 1st to 3rd generation requests, or otherwise give the impression they don't want to be bothered. I recommend to note the photos, flowers and comments on memorials such as these. If you wish to lend credence to and receive credit for your contributions to these memorials, I advise you share it as a comment or upload it as a photo.

' When this memorial was transferred to me, the bio said her husband was Robert Rennie. My Rennie's census records say she's "Loretta K.;" but then again, my grandma was given a name starting with "K", & says school told her to spell it with a "C." Take it as you will & if you have info, please contact me or share on her memorial.
