Virtual cemeteries (2 total) created for USS Canberra (CA 70 / CAG-2) crew members:
》》☆1) Men who lost their lives due to the torpedo attack in South Pacific during World War II (Friday, 13th October 1944)
▪I have submitted edits (after spending the time researching to verify) on many of the memorials to ensure the most complete name, dates, or locations listed on the profile, as well as connecting family members, but this is still *Work in progress.*
▪I have added the muster list (31 Oct 1944) showing crew member as, "KIA," for each memorial respectively
▪I will be attempting to request management for each of the 23 crewmen (unless memorial is managed already by a family member of course, which I will always transfer family if requested--its just easier when editing if I have management)
》》☆2) Any and all former crew members of USS Canberra (CA 70 / CAG-2 / CA 70), and any other friends of the Reunion Association/crew as I feel appropriate
☆☆**the 2nd is a WORK IN PROGRESS -- and [honestly] there is no real order, rhyme, or reason to how, who, or when I add people to the group...I would never "leave" someone out on purpose, I just haven't gotten to adding them yet.
--it is mainly if I have enough information on them, and if they already have a memorial page then obviously adding them to the virtual cemetery is easier than creating a page (depending on how much research for facts I can do or find) Any memorials added by me are done out of respect for their service aboard the, "Kan Do Kangaroo!" but I will remove the page if an immediate family member wants it deleted. If you would like me to create and manage, or create and then transfer a memorial page, I will be happy to do so--just send me a message.
